I’m French, and I have to admit I’m really glad to find this thread about the left-side door handle.
As you might expect, the reason I’m here is that I’ve owned a 2019 Volkswagen Amarok Aventura Phase 2 3.0 TDI 258cv since March 2025; I bought it with 124,000 km on the odometer.
I find it completely inconsistent that this handle isn’t standard on the left-hand side of the driver’s door, especially since it’s definitely present on the new 2022 Amarok. That said, given that it was co-developed with Ford for its new Ranger, it’s not surprising, since in the United States all pickup trucks have this access handle—but then again, they’re much more practical when it comes to pickup trucks.
Anyway, getting back to the issue at hand, I’d like to do the same installation as you; the only small difference is that my interior is Titan Black (VAG ref. 82V).
Do you know where I can order the parts needed to make this modification? Can I place an order for all the parts directly with the dealership that sold me the vehicle?
One last thing: what’s the part number for the mounting screws? Is it the same as for the right side?
