Erfahrungen Seikel rock sliders.

Hello,

I have been looking for a while now for some rock sliders for my Amarok.

My first choice would be the Rhino4x4 rock sliders ( from Argentina ), but they seem to be impossible to buy in Europe.

All the other brands seem very big, and you loose a lot of ground clearance.

That leaves the Seikel rock sliders. I like the fact that they keep the ground clearance, but I don't like the fact that I have to drill holes in the bodywork, and 'mix' steel with aluminium.

Any opinions on the Seikel rock sliders, or am I missing some other alternatives ?

also ich habe die Seikel Rockslider verbaut und bin zufrieden.

Ja, sie kosten ein wenig Bodenfreiheit, aber dafür kann ich dann eben auch über zum Aufsetzen führende Hindernisse "drüber rutschen".

Im Gegensatz zu den weiter abstehenden Trittbrettern, die oftmals ohnehin kaum Schutzfunktion haben, habe ich mit Rockslidern stets auch Stablitität und Schutzklasse erhöht.

Can you stand on them, or are they too narrow ? I could use a little step to open and close the roof tent.

Hi,

no, you're not able to stand on them, but you can use the normal in-door steps as well after opening the doors.
